Milo Keller (born 1979, Lugano, Switzerland), photographer and professor, is known for his photography works in the field of architecture and design (www.milokeller.com). Since 2007, he has been teaching at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne (www.ecal.ch) where he became Head of BA Photography in 2012 and created the MA Photography in 2016. Since 2012, Keller has curated numerous exhibitions and publications in Switzerland and internationally while offering conferences on his pedagogical and research activities.
After conducting ECAL MA Photography research project “Augmented Photography” about physical materiality and digital virtualisation, Keller continues his investigations about contemporary technologies with “Automated Photography” (www.automated-photography.ch). In collaboration with a group of scholars and students, the new research focuses on the photographer’s agency within automated capture, processing and post-production and about its social, economic and political implications.
