Brief Biography

Katrin Bauer (M.A.) currently works as research associate for Photography and Time-based Media at Pinakothek der Moderne. Her written and curatorial work focuses on decolonial thought related to modern and contemporary lens-based practices. Previously, she has worked as assistant curator at Fotomuseum Winterthur. Apart from her curatorial work, she has also guest lectured in the field of contemporary photography and engaged as a member of the commission KiöR (Art in Public Space) of the city of Freiburg (DE).
