Adrian Sonderegger

Brief Biography

Adrian Sonderegger (*1980) studied photography at ZHdK (Diploma 2006) and holds a CAS in Adult Education (2024). Today, he works as an independent artist, photographer, and entrepreneur running his own production company. He teaches part-time at SKDZ and lectures at institutions like ZHdK, F+F, and HSLU.

 

His practice extends into film and theater, including the documentary Ein Haus für Lars (SRF/Cinema, 2025), visual concepts/co-direction for the Danish documentary project The Missing Films (2022–2023), and the stage project Vercheert (2020).

 

From 2006 to 2026, he collaborated with Jojakim Cortis as duo Cortis & Sonderegger. Their internationally acclaimed work has been shown at the Metropolitan Museum (NY), Museum Folkwang (Essen), and C/O Berlin. His publications include the photobooks Double Take (2018) and Studio (2026).

Studio (2026): A comprehensive project and photobook exploring the boundaries of visual perception, currently transitioning into international exhibitions.
